Small Business Perspectives are entries that are written by small business owners, for small business owners. Each month we’ll have a number of posts written by several small businesses from real life perspective on topics like marketing, finance, human resources, and other related topics. Each contributor’s biography and outline of the small business that they operate is below. None of our contributors are being compensated for their thoughts and posts.
Monique Wakefield – Paws-n-Tails
Monique Wakefield is the owner of Paws-n-Tails, a Dallas based pet sitting and dog training business which employs positive pet training techniques. Monique has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Science from Texas A&M University-Commerce and has been working with animals professionally for 10 years.
Katharine Napoli – Computerized Office Services
Katharine Napoli, President and Owner of Computerized Office Services, has extensive experience with small businesses and their needs, having worked for 10 years in various industries. Developed in 2001, Computerized Office Services offers healthcare providers and small business professionals individual services that fit their needs. In addition, Katharine has been the Vice-President of a closely-held family corporation for 26 years, responsible for all aspects of bookkeeping, billing, insurance review and implementation, and marketing. She is a member of the International Coaching Federation and National Association of Female Exectives.
Audrey Clarke – Professionals Now LLC
As the manager of her own media relations, public information and process serving company, Professionals Now, LLC, Audrey coordinates a variety of events and public meetings. She is employed by PB Americas, Inc., a worldwide engineering firm headquartered in New York City. As the public information coordinator, Audrey provides regular updates to government officials, media, hospital personnel, law enforcement, event coordinators, sports officials and the general public just to name a few.
Caprice de Lorm – de Lorm Designs
Caprice de Lorm is the owner of de Lorm Designs, a company specializing in creating out of the box marketing solutions. Her company provides print and online marketing collateral and content services. Caprice has extensive experience in several areas of marketing and business planning and her innovative solutions utilize a strategic and comprehensive approach. Caprice also volunteers in several community organizations and is a member of the Orange County Multimedia Association. Caprice holds a B.A. in Communications from the University of California, San Diego and an M.B.A from Pepperdine University.
Theresa Gould – RobnT Business Solutions
Theresa is first and foremost a wife and mother, but also finds satisfaction in being an entrepreneur as a Virtual Assistant with RobnT Business Solutions. She has held virtual positions with such companies as Blue Sky Chicago as a call team member, five ACCESSORIES and Mayu Hand-Knit Alpaca as a marketing/social media assistant. She is also a contributing writer at The Alternative Consumer and The Fashionable Bambino.
Christine Davis – Annointed Assistant
Christine started Annointed Assistant, a virtual Assistant Company in January of 2006. Annointed Assistant specializes in assisting small business owners with their administrative needs, anything from creating contracts and various documents to following up with leads, building basic websites, scheduling flights and booking hotel rooms, to name a few.
